Come back!
On this blog we are going to post ideas every week about how we can incorporate and use technology in our classrooms. I will give you more details as we go:)
Today in Tech class, we started the class with an cool thing to do with computers. Senora Laura introduced us to command + shift + 4 and it takes a picture of the screen. It saves it to your desktop and from there you can drag the picture into documents so that students can get a "freeze frame" of your screen. We did a scavenger hunt focused around a website and spent some time working on templates. I also spent time reading about digital storytelling and am looking forward to trying one of these with my team...and now I'm off!
Today we learned a few great shortcuts for Word. We also learned how to change a few default settings and take a picture of the screen. We learned how to create a web scavenger hunt for the classroom which will be a lot of fun for the kids!
Today we learned short cuts for WORD and cruised the Microsoft website. I am really interested in learning to build a website as well as digital storytelling. Still not too sure about the command+shift+4 to capture a screen shot. I will have my daughter give me another lesson.I must say I do LOVE all this tech stuff.Just wish I was better! Thank you Senora Laura!
Today I learned how to set my Microsoft word spelling default to check everything! Open up word, go to preferences, on left side click spelling. Then in large box, choose writing style as technical. Check all of the items that you want your word document to check!
Wooo hoooo, we're blogging!
